Always one to be seen on a social dance floor somewhere, Paula’s experience in treading the boards, like most, spans across nations. She began learning the craft of Lindy Hop whilst living in Sydney some years ago, but further developed her skills and style after moving back to Perth in 2000. Here, she discovered a love not only for Lindy Hop, but also for Balboa and Collegiate Shag. More often than not, you would find her glued to a screen watching old clips for styling, fashion and the most effective way to draw pretend seams up the back of your legs!
Paula has taught in Perth, Auckland, London, Denmark and Cork, and is a regular fixture in various Hotsy Totsy Speakeasy Clubs of London where she has been based for the past eight years. Her love of social dancing has developed into a passion for musicality, lead and follow, and above all, the enjoyment of dancing, which to Paula, is a first and foremost. Paula is possibly the most watched dancer in London as her styling and grace are well known and her many new students watch her in awe.
The Dance Workshops will be held in The Community Hall on Saturday and Sunday
